Areas of Focus

Affordable Housing and Community Revitalization

OCF provides grants and investments that support the creation of affordable housing, as well as the creation or sustainability of safe, clean, and desirable neighborhoods in the communities in which Opus Bank does business. OCF supports programs  that enhance the quality of life in the communities the bank serves  and projects that promote economic self-sufficiency for residents of those communities, particularly for those of limited means.

Education and Financial Literacy

Opus Bank supports programs in the areas of education, after-school activities, mentoring, literacy, and other programs that give our youth inspiration, a sense of community, and promote self-worth. We also sponsor financial literacy programs in grades pre-K through 12, with preference given to schools serving LMI communities.

Community Health and Human Services

OCF supports organizations that provide health and health related assistance to children, the elderly,and underserved populations. . These organizations and programs often include community health clinics, food banks, free meal providers, or agencies that promote the safety and wellbeing of children or offer safety net services.

The Arts

OCF supports organizations that inspire artistic expression and bring culture to audiences throughout our communities, making life more vibrant for all. Special consideration is given to programs that create educational opportunities for children or serve LMI communities.

*LMI Persons or Communities

Additional consideration will be given to proposals that are targeted to LMI persons or communities. In general, the purpose of these grants is to fund community based organizations in their community development efforts. LMI is defined as less than 80% of an area's median income. OCF may ask for documentation that indicates the project benefits LMI persons or communities.
